✈️ NEW MESTIA AIRPORT TERMINAL ON HOLD

The tender for construction of a new passenger terminal at Queen Tamar Airport in Mestia has ended without attracting any bidders.

The application period ran from September 25 to 30, but no company submitted a proposal.

The project is valued at 15.047 million lari. The plan called for building a terminal of approximately 950 m² and developing an additional 11,600 m² of territory, including parking facilities.

The project itself hasn't been cancelled. The key question now is when the tender will be re-announced and whether its terms will change. No such information is available yet.

For Svaneti, this means at least a delay in one of the region's important infrastructure projects: the new terminal was designed to handle up to 50,000 passengers annually.

📌 Tender: NAT260018096
