🏂 FREERIDING SCHOOL IN SVANETI 2027 — PRE-REGISTRATION OPEN

For the fourth year in a row, ProSvaneti is partnering with Snowboard Academy by GIRNIK to run winter schools and freeriding camps in Svaneti.

Over the past seasons, this format has proven itself well: small groups, plenty of practice, technique work, error analysis, freeriding, and understanding what's happening under your board and around you in the mountains.

In February 2027, we want to make the program even bigger, more interesting, and more packed.

We're tentatively planning several sessions during February 8–28 — roughly three consecutive training weeks.

Exact dates, instructor lineup, and pricing will be announced later.

🏔 Why GIRNIK

We work and will continue to work with different schools and instructors, but Snowboard Academy by GIRNIK is special and our priority — the one we recommend most strongly.

After years of collaboration and our own repeated participation, we've seen the results: people who come to camp, train for several days straight, and start riding noticeably more confidently and consciously.

The school's founder is Alexander Girnik.

Alexander is a snowboarder, coach, freerider, and mountain guide. He completed C and B category instructor certifications and has extensive teaching experience. He runs freeriding schools in Russia, Georgia, and other CIS countries. Alexander also competes in freeriding and is a winner of FWQ stages and cup events.

Snowboard Academy focuses not on "riding behind an instructor" but on systematic training:

• technique instead of relying on raw power;

• board and speed control;

• working on different terrain;

• line selection;

• freeriding;

• understanding mistakes;

• video analysis;

• mountain safety fundamentals.

This approach is exactly what we believe in.

🏂 What We're Planning for 2027

The main program will take place on Tetnuldi.

We're tentatively considering several formats and group levels — from technique school to more advanced couloir freeriding.

The program is still taking shape, but it's already clear that this season we want to make it more varied than in previous years.

There will be more technique work, more varied slope challenges, and more opportunities to tailor the program to each group's level.

❄️ That said, freeriding always depends on snow, weather, and avalanche conditions.

Instructors determine the route and daily format on the ground based on real conditions.

February 8–28, 2027

Likely three consecutive sessions, roughly a week each.

For now we're not fixing specific dates — it's important first to understand how many people want to come and which weeks work best for most people.

👥 Who It's For

For anyone who already rides a snowboard and wants to spend a week in the mountains doing more than just cruising — to seriously improve their riding, especially off-piste.

Groups will be divided by level.

If you're not sure whether the program is right for you — submit an application anyway and describe your level. Once we form groups, we'll help you figure out which format works best.

We're also separately discussing an instructor seminar, roughly 5 days — the first time in Georgia!

But spaces may be very limited, so for now we're treating it as an additional program rather than open enrollment.
