Freeride World Tour 2027 in Svaneti: Georgia Pro at Tetnuldi
Freeride World Tour has officially included the Georgia Pro 2027 stage in the season calendar. Competitions will take place on the Kakhiani slope (Tetnuldi) February 20–26, 2027, with junior freeriding camps also planned in Svaneti that month.
🏔 WORLD FREERIDING RETURNS TO SVANETI!
Today, October 29th, the organizers of Freeride World Tour officially presented the 2027 season calendar. And Tetnuldi is hosting a world tour stage again!
After competitions were cancelled in 2026 due to poor snow conditions, we're really hoping everything comes together this time.
🏂 FREERIDE WORLD TOUR — GEORGIA PRO 2027
📅 February 20–26, 2027
📍 Tetnuldi, Kakhiani slope
The main dates are February 20–21. But there's a weather window through February 26th — the exact day will be chosen based on snow and weather conditions.
Athletes will descend the Kakhiani slope at an elevation of 3,170 meters. The average gradient is 37°, reaching 42° in some sections.
This season marks the world tour's 20th anniversary. The calendar includes six stages total, and Mestia is again in company with renowned ski resorts in France, Austria, Spain, the USA, and Switzerland.
🏆 AND THAT'S NOT ALL!
February also features junior freeriding competitions in Svaneti:
▪️ February 9–11 — Svaneti Freeride Week Junior, Zuruldi.
▪️ February 10–12 — Svaneti Freeride Week Junior Hybrid, Hatsvali.
This is an opportunity for young skiers and snowboarders to showcase their skills on competitive courses and gain racing experience.
So February promises to be truly packed: first the junior events, then the world's strongest freeriders.
For Svaneti, this is more than just competitions. It's athletes, teams, fans, and the attention of the international sports community on our mountains.
