Zagaro Road Reopens: Temporary SARM Bridge Ready for Use
On August 30th, installation of the temporary SARM bridge near Sakdari village on the Lentekhi–Lasdili road was completed. The temporary bridge is now open to all vehicles. The Lentekhi–Zagaro Pass–Ushguli route has been restored. Work continues on-site to install railings and build out the sidewalk. Plans are in place for a permanent bridge to be constructed in the future.

Today, August 30th, installation of the temporary SARM bridge near Sakdari village on the Lentekhi–Lasdili road has been completed.
🚗 Traffic across the temporary bridge is now open to all vehicles.
Work continues at the site on smaller finishing touches: railings are being installed and the sidewalk is being prepared, but these works don't obstruct vehicle passage.
With this, the Lentekhi–Zagaro Pass–Ushguli route is once again open to traffic.
Looking ahead, a new permanent bridge will be constructed at the site of the damaged bridge—tender procedures are currently being prepared.
