Tetnuldi Sunset Tour
An evening drive up to the Tetnuldi ski area for sunset light on the high Caucasus — one of the best low-effort views in Svaneti.
Tetnuldi is Svaneti's main ski mountain, but in summer its access road doubles as one of the easiest routes to a big sunset panorama. A short evening 4x4 ride takes you up to the slopes for golden light over the high Caucasus, then back down to Mestia.
It's weather-dependent by nature — a clear evening makes it; cloud kills it — so we only run it when the odds are good.

Itinerary
- 17:00Depart Mestia
Drive up the mountain road toward the Tetnuldi ski base.
- 18:00Tetnuldi viewpoint
Reach the upper slopes with panoramic views; wait for the light.
- 19:30Sunset
Golden light on Tetnuldi and the surrounding peaks.
- 21:00Return
Drive back down to Mestia in the dusk.

What time does it start?+
It depends on the season's sunset. In midsummer we leave around 17:00–18:00; we confirm the exact time based on that day's light and weather.
Is it cold at the top?+
Yes, noticeably colder than Mestia, especially once the sun drops. Bring a proper jacket even in summer.
